Salman Khan’s Sikandar finally crossed the ₹100 crore milestone at the box office, but the celebration was short-lived. On Day 9, which marked the film’s second Monday, the collections saw a sharp dip, bringing in just ₹1.75 crore. This drop has come as a surprise, especially for a big-banner Salman release.
Sikandar, which hit theatres on March 30, opened to a lukewarm response with ₹26 crore on Day 1 — one of Salman’s lowest Eid openings since Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. While the film did see a spike in numbers during Eid and the following day, thanks to the festive holiday, the momentum didn’t last long.
Over the next few days, the film’s earnings steadily declined, and what many expected to be a ₹100 crore earner within its opening weekend, only managed to touch the mark on Day 8 (Sunday). According to Sacnilk, Sikandar collected ₹4 crore on Saturday and ₹4.84 crore on Sunday, pushing its 8-day total just over ₹102 crore.

However, Day 9 proved to be a setback, with Monday’s collection dropping significantly to ₹1.75 crore. This brings the film’s total box office haul to ₹104.25 crore after nine days.
The performance has left both fans and trade analysts puzzled, as Salman’s films usually come with massive expectations — especially around Eid. With this kind of trajectory, it’s uncertain how much further Sikandar can go in the coming weeks unless it sees a sudden boost from word-of-mouth or the weekend audience rush.
After Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chhaava’ made Rs 500 crore at the box office, it was expected that a big Salman
film on Eid would also make that number but that seems a far cry at the moment.
