Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has once again made headlines as the Hyundai Creta emerged as the highest-selling car in India for the second month in a row. In April 2025, the mid-size SUV recorded an impressive sale of 17,016 units, reflecting a healthy year-on-year growth of 10.2% over April 2024. Between January and April 2025, the Creta achieved cumulative sales of 69,914 units, reinforcing its position as a market leader in the SUV segment.
This continued success of the Hyundai Creta has significantly contributed to HMIL’s overall domestic performance, with SUVs accounting for a record 70.9% of total sales in April. Alongside the Creta, models like the Hyundai Venue, Exter, and Alcazar have also played a crucial role in this milestone. The launch of the Creta Electric has further elevated customer interest in the brand.

Since its launch, the Hyundai Creta has redefined expectations in the SUV category with its bold styling, comprehensive safety features, and connected technology. With over 12 lakh units sold in India to date, it remains a top pick among Indian buyers seeking a balance of performance, comfort, and innovation.
The ICE-powered Hyundai Creta comes with three engine options:
- 1.5L petrol (113bhp, 144Nm)
- 1.5L diesel (114bhp, 250Nm)
- 1.5L turbo-petrol (158bhp, 253Nm)

Transmission choices vary depending on the variant and include a 6-speed manual, CVT, 6-speed torque converter, and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The electric version of the Hyundai Creta offers two battery pack options:
- 42kWh battery with a 99kW motor, providing a range of 390km.
- 51.4kWh battery with a 126kW motor, delivering an extended range of 473km and a 0–100km/h time of just 7.9 seconds.
Charging solutions include an 11kW AC wall box that fully charges the battery in around 4 hours and a DC fast charger that can power the vehicle from 10% to 80% in under an hour (58 minutes).
